1 RESOLUTION NO. 5184
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ORDERING THE REORGANIZATION OF
3 TERRITORIES DESIGNATED AS "REORGANIZATION
1-84, PARCELS 1, 2 and 3" PURSUANT TO THE
4 DISTRICT REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1965
5 WHEREAS, a petition of application (Resolution No. 5158)
6 for the proposed change or organization of certain territories
7 identified as "Reorganization 1-84, Parcels 1, 2 and 3"
8 involving the cities of Vernon and Maywood and Consolidated
9 Fire Protection District was filed with the Local Agency
10 Formation Commission ("LAFCO") pursuant to the District
11 Reorganization Act of 1965; and
12 vffiEREAS, LAFCO on March 27, 1985, adopted Resolution
13 No. 1985-24 approving said Reorganization; and
14 l{HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
15 Resolution No. 5181 on April 16, 1985, initiating proceedings
16 for Reorganization and set the hearing on said Reorganization
17 for May 7, 1985; and
18 WHEREAS, notice of hearing on the proposed Reorganization
19 has been given as required by law; and
20 WHEREAS, this is the time and p lace fixed for the hearing
21 of said hearing, and all protests have been heard and considered.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
24 SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
25 approves and orders without an election the Reorganization identified
26 as "Reorganization 1-84, Parcels 1, 2 and 3" involving the cities of
27 Vernon and Haywood and Consolidated Fire Protection District, the boundaries
28 of which are set forth in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby directs the City Clerk to send eight (8) certified
copies of this resolution to LAFCO, together with the necessary
fees.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of May, 1985.
