RESOLUTION NO. 5188
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ESTABLISHING DOG LICENSE FEES AND
APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF THE ANIMAL CONTROL
SERVICES CONTRACT WITH SOUTHEAST AREA ANIMAL
CONTROL AUTHORITY FOR AN ADDITIONAL YEAR,
JULY 1, 1985 TO JUNE 30, 1986, AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
8 adopted an Ordinance providing for animal control regulationt
9 and
10 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City
11 Clerk, has recommended by letter dated May 22, 1985, that the
12 City of Vernon renew the agreement with Southeast Area Animal
13 Control Authority ("SEAACA") for animal control services and
14 that the execution of an agreement would be in the best
15 interests of the City of Vernon.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
17 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
20 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
22 hereby approves the renewal of the agreement with SEAACA for
23 an additional year, July 1, 1985 to June 30, 1986, and hereby
24 approves the execution of an Agreement, a copy of which has been
25 presented to the City Council concurrently with this Resolution,
26 and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement to be received
27 and filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

1 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
2 Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City Council of the City
3 of Vernon.

SECTION 4: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
5 establishes fees for the licensing of dogs as follows:
6 Spayed or neutered dogs. . . .$ 5.00 per dog

Unaltered dogs . .
. .$15.00 per dog
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
9 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
10 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
11 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of May, 1985.
