1 RESOLUTION NO. 5192
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF KOREAN
3 MAINTENANCE COMPANY FOR VERNON CITY HALL
JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE 1985-86 FISCAL
4 YEAR IN ACCORDANCE WITH JANITORIAL CONTRACT
NOc~r.008 AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID
5 CONTRACT
6 WHEREAS, Section 2.27(b) of the Vernon City Code providee
7 that in the event the City Council finds that it is in t.he public
8 interest and necessity to purchase supplies, services, or
9 equipment without compliance with the formal contract procedures
10 set forth in said Section, it may waive such procedures by so
11 declaring with a separate motion or resolution # and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires
13 to waive the formal contract procedures in the matter of the
14 Vernon City Hall janitorial services for the 1985-86 fiscal year
15 and go to an informal bidding process1 and
16 WHEREAS, the Finance Committee recommended on June 10,
17 1985, that the City Council accept the bid of Korean Maintenance
18 COJ;npany for Janitorial Contract No. 008 for the 1985-86 fiscal
19 year on the basis of its bid of lJSro Thousand Ninety-Two Dollars
20 and No Cents ($2,092.00) per month.
21 NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
22 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
24 tiereby finds and determines. that it is in the public interest and
25 necessity to waive the formal contract procedures in the matter
26 of the Vernon City Hall janitorial services for the 1985-86
27 fiscal year and go to an informal bidding process.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

does hereby award Janitorial Contract No. 008 in accordance with
the recommendation of the Finance Committee on June 10, 1985, to
Korean Maintenance Company and hereby authorizes the Mayor to
execute said Contract for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of June, 1985.
