RESOLUTION NO. 5209
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COt~NDING LOIS HILTON FdR HER
MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, LOIS HILTON has been employed by the City
of Vernon since May 1, 1969; and
WHEREAS, said LOIS HILTON will retire from the service
of the City of. Vernon on September 25, 1985; and
WHEREAS/ LOIS HILTON has faithfully served as an
10 employee of the Ci ty of Vernon for approximately 16 years and

has served as the Chief Deputy City Clerk since her appointment
to said position by Resolution No. 4808 adopted by the City
Council on May 19, 1981/ and her loss will be deeply felt by
the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
takes this opportunity to commend LOIS HILTON for 'her many years
of devoted service to the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
wishes LOIS HILTON continued success in whatever endeavors she
may undertake.
SECTION 3: That. the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
certified copy thereof to LOIS HILTON, and that thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
