RESOLUTION NO. 5224
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 472 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR TRAFFIC PAVEMENT STRIPING 1986
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 472 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Vernon Contract No. 472 for Traffic Pavement
Striping 1986; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable
State law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VER~ON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Contract No. 472 is hereby approved by the
16 City Council of the City of Vernon.
17 SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
18 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
19 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 472.
20 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is

1 City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest corner of 38th Street and
8 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days
9 before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
10 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
11 received by the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk
12 of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 'Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
13 California 90058, until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 19th day of
14 November, 1985/ and in accordance with Contract No. 472 approved
15 by said City.
16 SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
17 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
18 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
19 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of November, 1985.
