RESOLUTION NO. 5227
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE VII, EXHIBIT "F",
OF RESOLUTION NO. 5197, WHICH AMENDED RESOLUTION
NO. 4918 FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN
EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN
EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5197 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 27, 1985, to be effective
on July 1, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Resolution NO. 5197 was previously amended by
Resolution No. 5213, adopted by the City Council of the City of
Vernon on September 24, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5197 was previously amended by
Resolution NO. 5226, adopted by the City Council of the City
of Vernon on November 19, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", of Resolution No.
5197 provides for the position and salary scale of City
AdministratorlCity Clerk in the City Administrator/City Clerk
Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Coun.cil of the City of Vernon intends
to establish a living expense allowance for the position of
City AdministratorlCity Clerk in the City AdministratorlCity
Clerk Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That effective November 1/ 1985, Schedule
2 VII, Exhibit "F", of Resolution No. 5197, shall be amended as

(1) Page F-4, line 24, shall be amended to read as
follows:
(f) A living expense allowance of $300.00.
SECTION 3: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
5197, as amended by Resolution Nos. 5213 and 5226, shall remain
in full force and effect and that the provisions in Resolution
Nos. 5197, 5213, and 5226 not consistent with or in conflict
with this Resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of December, 1985.
