1 RESOLUTION NO. 5233
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COm~CIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON CO~mNDING THOMAS STEVENSON FOR HIS
3 MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
4 WHEREAS, THOHAS STEVENSON has been employed by the City of
5 Vernon since December 1, 1957; and
6 WHEREAS, said THOMAS STEVENSON will retire from the
7 service of the City of Vernon on December 21, 1985; and
8 WHEREAS, THOMAS STEVENSON has faithfully served as a
9 Fire Engineer in Vernon Fire Department for approximately
10 28 years and his loss will be deeply felt by the City of Vernon.
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
12 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
13 SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
14 takes this opportunity to commend THOMAS STEVENSON for his many
15 years of devoted service to the City of Nernon.
16 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
17 wishes THOMAS STEVENSON continued success in whatever endeavors
18 he may undertake.
19 SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
20 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and present a
21 certified copy thereof to THOMAS STEVENSON and that thereupon
22 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
23 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of December, 1935.
