RESOLUTION NO. 5237

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A PORTION OF, SANTA FE AVENUE
WITHIN SAID CITY AS A PART OF THE SYSTEM OF
HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did
19851 duly adopt a Resolution declaring that
Fe l~venue from 180 feet north of 58th Street to Gage
intersecting streets appurtenant to the
within the City of Vernon, to be a part
of the County of Los Angeles, all as provided
to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and Highways
of California; and
WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors by said
requested this Council to give its consent to allow
to construct improvements
said portion of the City of Vernon described
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15301,
State Guidelines for Implementation of the California
Environmental Quality Act, the Secretary of Resources
this type of project as categorically exempt.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Finding of Catesor.ical Exemption.
Cit,y Council does hereby find that the project is categorically
exempt from the req~irement for an Environmental Impact Report
pursuant to Section 15301, Class 1 (0) of the State GUidelines
of the California Environmental Quality Act

SECTION 2: Finding of a Minor
Council does hereby find that pursuant to Government
65402(b), the aforesaid improvements are for
improvements of a minor nature and that, therefore,
provisions of said Section requiring the submission

apply.
SECTION 3: Consent to
This City Council does heJ;eby

the construction thereof, within the City of
