RESOLUTION NO. 5230
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT
ONE TO THE ECONOMY ENERGY SALE AGREEMENT BY
AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES
PROVID1NG FOR THE PURCHASE OF NONFIRM ENERGY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
Resolution No. 5183 on April 16, 1985, which approved the
execution of an Economy Energy Sale Agreement by and between the
City of Vernon and the State of California Department of Water
Resources providing for the purchase of nonfirm energy from
April 4, 1985 through December 31, 1985, unless extended by
mutual agreement of the parties; and
~VHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to extend its
option to purchase nonfirm energy through December 31, 1990, or
longer if mutually agreed; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to amend Section 9,
Billings and Payments, to include a reference to the timing
for billings and payments which are actually in practice at the
present time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained herein-
above are true and correct.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby approves the Amendment One to the Economy Energy Sale
Agreement, a copy of which has been presented to the City
Council concurrently with this resolution and the City Council

1 hereby orders said Amendment to be received and filed by the
2 Ci ty Clerk.
3 SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
4 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
5 Amendment for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
6 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
7 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution
8 and thereupon and thereafter the., same shall be in full force and
9 effect.
10 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of December, 1985.
