A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE VII, EXHIBIT "F",
OF RESOLUTION NO. 5197, WHICH AMENDED
RESOLUTION NO. 4918 FIXING THE COMPENSATION
FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5197 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 27, 1985, to be effective
on July 1, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5197 was previously amended by
Resolution Nos. 5213 (adopted on September 24, 1985); 5226
(adopted on November 19, 1985); 5227 (adopted on December 3,
1985); and 5240 (adopted on January 7, 1986); and
WHEREAS, Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", of Resolution No.
5197 provides for the position and salary scale of Assistant
Director of Finance in the City Administrator/City Clerk
Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
considered the performance of the Assistant Director of Finance
on his annual review date for the purpose of considering a merit
increase; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
intends to establish a new salary scale to provide for a merit
increase for the position of Assistant Director of Finance in
the City Administrator/City Clerk Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

contained hereinabove are true and correct.

That effective March 30, 1986, Schedule
VII, E}(hibit "F", page F-l, of Resolution No. 5197, shall be
amended to establish the following salary scale for the position
of Assistant Director of Finance:

Step 1 $4,298.00 per month

5 3,470.00
6 3,289.00
7 3,118.00
g!;gIIQ~_~: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
5197, as amended by Resolution Nos. 5213, 5226, 5227, and 5240,
shall remain in full force and effect and that the provisions in
Resolution Nos. 5197, 5213, 5226, 5227 and 5240 not consistent
with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
