A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK ON FRUITLAND
AVENUE SEWER (DOWNEY ROAD TO MAYWOOD AVENUE)
CONSTRUCTION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
469 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, J & J SEWER CO. was awarded the Contract for
work on Fruitland Avenue Sewer (Downey Road to Maywood Avenue)
Construction, pursuant to Contract No. 469 of the City of
Vernon; and
WHEREAS,
Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon
that said work has been completed, under date of February 26,
1986, and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be
made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON, AS FOLLOWS:

That the work on Fruitland Avenue Sewer
(Downey Road to Maywood Avenue) Construction, pursuant to
Contract No. 469, is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

That the total contract amount, including
Change Order No.1, is Eighty-One Thousand Three Hundred Sixteen
Dollars and Sixty Cents ($81,316.60).
That there is now due to
the Contractor a final partial payment totaling One Thousand
Eighty Dollars and No Cents ($1,080.00), which should be paid at
this time and the remaining ten percent (10Y.) of the total
Contract amount or the sum of Eight Thousand One Hundred Thirty-
One Dollars and Sixty-Six Cents ($8,131.66) is payable thirty-
five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution and the
City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of

said sums as set forth to J & J SEWER CO. and instructs the City
Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.
~s~I!Q~_~: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
