II I! 1 I) 211 311 I' 4 II Ii I' 5 II Ii 'I 61' 7. i 81 91" I 10 II I 11 8~~gb~IIQ~_~Q~_~6~6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ESTABLISHING HEALTH AND PERMIT FEES APPLICABLE TO ALL PERMITS GRANTED BY THE CITY OF VERNON PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 11.25, 13.7 AND 13.31 OF THE VERNON CITY CODE AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 5172 WHEREAS, the Vernon City Code and, in particular, Sections 11.25, 13.7 and 13.31 thereof, provides for the issuance of health permits; and WHEREAS, Sections 11.25, 13.8 and 13.34 of the Vernon City Code provides that the City Council of the City of Vernon shall establish, by resolution, health permit inspection fees 121 for the various types of businesses and vehicles requiring 131. health permits; and 14 I' WHEREAS. the City Counc i 1 of the Ci ty of Vernon 15 adopted Resolution No. 5172 on March 5, 1985, establishing 16 health permit fees in accordance with said Code; and 17 WHEREAS, said fees established by resolution are 18 hereby determined to be inadequate; and 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends to establish new fees as set forth herein. For each additional month or fraction thereof in which the delinquency continues, an additional ten percent (10%) penalty shall be collected. In no event shall the total penalty e>:ceed si xty percent (60':1.) of the heal th permi t i nspecti on fee. E5gIIQ~_~: That the City Council of the City of Vernon does hereby establish that the issuance fees, annual renewal fees, and late fee penalties for health permit inspections granted by the City of Vernon pursuant to Section -3- 13.34 of the Vernon City Code a~e as follows: (a) Underground Hazardous Substances Storage Facility - $164. for five(5} years; (b) Annual Taryk Operating Permit - $37 per tank (not to exceed $185 per facility); (c) Transfer of Operating Permit - $54; (d) Amend an Operating Permit - $27; (e) There shall be added to and collected with the permit or 6ther fee a penalty equal to ten percent (10%) of the fee for all fees that are delinquent for thirty (30) days. For each additional month or fraction thereof in which the delinquency continues, an additional ten percent (10%) penalty shall be collected. In no event shall the total penalty exceed sixty percent (60':1.) of the permit fee. $.gQIIQ~L~ : That in addition to the foregoing, the licensee or permittee shall pay all other necessary fees or dE?posits which may be required by other ordinances or resolutions of the Ci~y of Vernon or applicable State laws in effect. $.~QIIQ~_~: That the fees provided for herein shall be effective April I, 1986, and that Resolution No. 5172 and all other resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
