A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
DF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT (c.L.D. NO. 2(758)
BY AND BETWEEN THE LOS ANGELES & SALT LAKE
RAILROAD COMPANY, ITS LESSEE THE UNION PACIFIC
RAI LF<OAD COMPANY, AND THE CITY OF VERNON FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A POWER LINE
CROSSING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
desires to enter into a power line crossing agreement with the
Los P,ngeles 8< Salt River Railroad Company and its lessee, Union
Paci .f i c Rai 1 road Company, f or the purpOSE? of construct i ng and
operat,ing a power line from Sunlaw~s Feder'al Cold Storage
Cogeneration Project and Leonis Substation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
~E~I!Q~_!: That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby findj;;; and determinE?s that the. recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
8Egl!Q~_6: That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby approves the Agreement (c.L.D. No. 20758), a copy
of whi ch has been presented to the ci t y Counc i 1 concurrent.l y
with this Resolution and the City Council herebY orders said
Agreement to be received and filed by the City Clerk.
g~~IIQt~L~: That the ci ty counc:i 1 o'f the ci ty of
Vernon hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute
said Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
