RESOLUTION NO. 5268
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA,. AUTHORIZING CERTAIN
OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT
FOR A CITY MEASURE (General Obligation Bond
Proposition)

WHEREAS, a special bond election is to be held in the City
of Vernon, on June 17, 1986, at which there will be submitted to

the qualified electors of said City the following City
measure:

GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND PROPOSITION:
Shall.the City of Vernon authorize the issuance
of general obligation bonds in one or more. series,
in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed
$150,000,000 for the acquisition, construction~
improvement and financing of additions, extensions
and improvements of the electrical power system
of the City and other public improvements, and

the acquisition of land and rights of way
inside or outside the City boundaries, and

including all engineering, inspection and legal
fees, bond reserve funds and interest during the
construction period and for a period not to exceed
twelvemonths after completion of construction,
".... and other costs and expenses incidental to or
connected with such acquisition, construction,

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Vernon DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:

SECTION 1. This City Council, being the legislative body

i to file a written argument for the City measure set forth in the
8 recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3,
9 Division 5 of the Elections Code of the State of California and
10 to change said argument until and including the date fixed by the
11 City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City
12 measure may be submitted to said City Clerk.
