A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF BANDINI
BOULEVARD RESURFACING (DOWNEY ROAD TO AYERS
AVENUE), IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
470 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING CO. was awarded the
Contract for work on Bandini Boulevard Resurfacing (Downey Road
to Ayers Avenue), pursuant to Contract No. 470 of the City of
Vernon; and
WHEREAS,
Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon
that said work has been completed, under date of May 5,
1986, and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be
made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON, AS FOLLOWS:

That the work of Bandini Boulevard
Resurfacing (Downey Road to Ayers Avenue), pursuant to
Contract No. 470, is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.
3~gIIQ~_6:
That the total contract amount was
Two Hundred Sixty-Six Thousand One Hundred Eight Dollars and
Sixty-Three Cents ($266,108.63).
That there is now due to the
Contractor a final partial payment totaling Thirty-Six Dollars
and Fifty-Eight Cents ($36.58), which should be paid at this
time, and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total Contract
amount or the sum of Twenty-Six Thousand Six Hundred Ten Dollars
and Eighty-Six Cents ($26,610.86) is payable thirty-five (35)
days after the adoption of this resolution and the City Council
of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set

forth to SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING CO. and instructs the City
Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.
E~QIIQ~_~: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 1986.
