A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE IV, EXHIBIT "e",
OF RESOLUTION NO. 5197, WHICH AMENDED
RESOLUTION NO. 4918 FIXING THE COMPENSATION
FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5197 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 27, 1985, to be effective
on July 1, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5197 was previously amended by
Resolution Nos. 5213 (adopted on September 24, 1985); 5226
(adopted on November 19, 1985); 5227 (adopted on Decembe~ 3,
1985); 5240 (adopted on January 7, 1986) and 5254 (adopted on
March 4, 1986) ; and
WHEREAS, Schedule IV, Exhibit lIe", of Resolution No.
5197 provides for the position and salary scale of Chief Diesel
Operator in the Light and Power Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
wishes to establish additional steps in the salary scale for
the position of Chief Diesel Operator in the Light and Power
Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Council of the City of
Vernon does hereby find and determine that the recitals
contained hereinabove are true and correct.
~~QIIQ~_~: That effective May 12, 1986, Schedule
IV, Exhibit "e", page C-l, of Resolution No. 5197, shall be
amended to establish the following steps in the salary scale for

~~gIIQ~_~: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
5197, as amended by Resolution Nos. 5213, 5226, 5227, 5240, and
5254 shall remain in full force and effect and that the
provisions in Resolution Nos. 5197, 5213, 5226, 5227, 5240 and
5254
not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution
are hereby repealed.

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
