A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AF'PROV I NG AND AUTHOR I ZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY OF VERNON AN.D THE ARIZONA PUBLIC
SERVICE COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF
NONFIRM ENERGY
WHEREAS,
the Arizona Public Service Company has
available surplus energy to sell to pl,.lblic entities within the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, the" City of Vernon is interested in buying
surplus energy from the Arizona Public Service Company at prices
less than the prices charged by SOllthern California Edison
Company; and
WHEREAS, the execlltion of this Agreement wOllld permit
the City of Vernon to purchase said sllrplus nonfirm energy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

That the City COllncil of the. City of
Vernon hereby finds and determines that the ....ecitals c::ontained
hereinabove are true and correct.
E~gIIQ~_~:
That the City Council of the City of
Vernon
hereby approves the Agreement for Economy
Energy
Interchange, a copy of which has been presented to the City
Council concllrrently with this Resollltion and the City COllncil
hereby orders said Agreement to be received and filed by the
City Clerk.
EEg!lQ~_~:
That the City COllncil of the City of
Vernon hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute
said Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

certify to the. passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
