A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ESTABLISHING DOG LICENSE FEES AND
APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF THE ANIMAL CONTROL
SERVICES CONTRACT WITH SOUTHEAST AREA ANIMAL
CONTROL AUTHORITY ("SEAACA") FOR AN
ADDITIONAL YEAR, JULY 1, 1986 TO JUNE 30,
1987, AND AUTHORZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AMENDMENT TO SAID AGREEMENT
WHEREAS; the City Council of the City of Vernon has
adopted an ordinance providing for animal control regulati n;
and
WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/C"ty
Clerk, has recommended by letter dated June 9, 1986, that. he
City of Vernon renew the agreement with SEAACA for animal
control services and that the execution of an amendment to said
agreement would be in the best interests of the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Council of the City of
Vernon does hereby find and determine that the
recitals
contained hereinabove are true and correct.
8!;gIIQt~L6 :
That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby approves the renewal of the agreement with SEAACA
for an additional year, July 1, 1986 to June 30, 1987, and
hereby approves the execution of an Amendment to
said
Agreement, a copy of which has been presented to the City
Council concurrently with this Resolution and the City Council
hereby orders said Amendment to be received and filed by the
City Clerk.

1 Vernon hereby authorizes the Mayor Pro Tem and the City Clerk
2 to execute said Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of
3 Vernon.

SECTION 4:
That the City Council of the City of
5 Vernon establishes fees for the licensing of dogs as follows:

Spayed or neutered dogs
Unaltered dogs.
. . $ 5.00 per dog
$15.00 per dog

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
9 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
10 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
11 APBROVED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of June, 1986.
