A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON EMPLOYING DAVID B. BREARLEY AS THE
CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, DAVID B. BREARLEY has served as ~he City
5 Attorney for the City of Vernon from July 1, 1977 through and
6 including June 30, 1986, pursuant to an Employmen~ Agreement;
7 and
8
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
11
10 BREARLEY for City Attorney services; and
9 desires to enter into a new employment agreement with DAVID B.
12 into a new employment agreement with the City Council providing
WHEREAS, DAVID B~ BREARLEY is desirous of entering
14
13 for the performance of City Attorney services.
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF

That the City Council of the City of
Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals

18 contained hereinabove are true and correct~

That the City Council of the City df
20 Vernon does hereby approve the Employment Agreement with DAVID
21 B. BREARLEY for City Attorney services, a copy of which has been
22 presented to the City Council concurrently with this resolution,

23 and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement to be received
and filed by the City Clerk and
hereby appoints DAVID B~
25 BREARLEY as City Attorney in accordance with said agreement.

The City Council of the City of Vernon
27 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
28 Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
