A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOHN R. HUNDLEY,
INC. FOR CITY OF VERNON CIVIC CENTER ADDITIONS
AND REMODELING IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
476 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE
EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 476 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution No. 5299, and sealed bids were opened on July 29,
1986; and
WHEREAS, said bids were refer....ed to Victor H. V.aits,
Director of Community Services, who has r~ported to the City
Council under the date of July 30, 1986, recommending that the
contract
for City of Vernon Civic Center Additions
and
Remodeling be executed with John R. Hundley, Inc., on the basis
of its bid in the sum of Four Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand
Three Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars and No Cents ($428,382.00),
being
the
lowest responsible bid meeting
the
contract
requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award Contract No. 476, in accordance with the
recommendation of Victor H.
Vaits, Director of Community
Services, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract on
behalf of the City.

All other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidde....s
any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
1 the receipt of an executed contract from John R.. Hundley, Inc.,
2 accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.

4 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
5 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of August, 1986.
