A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 473 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR SUNOL DRIVE AND AYERS AVENUE
RECONSTRUCTION AND BANDINI BLVD. MEDIAN IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 473 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
7 of the City of Vernon Contract No. 473 for Sunol Drive and Ayers
8 Avenue Reconstruction and Bandini Blvd. Median; and
9
WHEREAS,
the City Council of the City of Vernon has
10 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
11
Vernon that said contract be awarded in accordance
with
12 applicable State law.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
8~gIIQ~_lL Contract No. 473 is hereby approved by
16 the City Council of the City of Vernon.

8~gIIQ~_~: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
18 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
19 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 473.

8~gIIQ~_~: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
21 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
22
proposals
or
bids
for Sunol Drive
and
Ayers
Avenue
23 Reconstruction and Bandini Blvd. Median, in accordance with
Contract No. 473 and in accordance with this Resolution.

8~gIIQ~_1: There being no newspaper of general
26 circulation printed, published or circulated in the City of
27 Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice,
28 or to cause the same to be posted, in three of the most public

places in the City of Vernon, to wit:
the northwest corner of
38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis
Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in
the lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at
4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City.
g~gIIQ~_~: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is

hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days
before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract.
Said
notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
received by the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk
of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, CA
90058-0805, until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 2nd day of
September, 1986 and in accordance with Contract No. 473 approved
by said City.
e~gIIQ~_g: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of August, 1986.
