' 1 2 3 4 5 B~8QbW-IIQN_NQ~_~~1~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY FROM THE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.31 OF THE VERNON CITY CODE WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City 6 Clerk, by letter dated September 11, 1986, has recommended to 7 the City Council that property from the Community Services 8 Depar'tment, more particularly desct-ibed in EHhibit "A" which is 9 attached hereto and made a part hereof, is surplus to the needs 10 of the City of Vernon; and 11 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, the Purchasing Agent, 12 has recommended that the surplus property set forth in EHhibit 13 "A" be disposed of pursuant to Section 2.31 of the Vernon City 14 Code; and 15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has 16 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon 17 that the property set forth in E>:hibit "A" be sold as surplus 18 pursuant to Section 2.31 of the Vernon City Code. 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 20 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: 21 9.~G.I"H!N_l : That in accordance with Section 37350 of 22 the Government Code of the State of California, the City Council 23 of the City of Vernon hereby finds and determines that the 24 property set for"th in E>:hi bi t "AU is surpl us to the needs of the 25 City of Vernon. . 26 9.~G.I"U1N_6 : That the City Administrator/City Clerk is 27 hereby authorized to obtain bids pursuant to Section 2.31 of the 28 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 E>:hibit "A" as surplus property.
