RESOLUTION NO. 5332
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON EXPRESSING ITS CONDOLENCES UPON
THE DEATH OF MRS. GENEVIEVE H. ANDERSON AND
EXPRESSING ITS APPRECIATION FOR HER DEVOTED
WORK AS A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, the successful operation of local government
for the benefit of the people of the City of Vernon depends upon
the concerned leadership of civic minded persons; and
WHEREAS, nowhere has such community awareness been more
evident that with Mrs. Genevieve H. Anderson who served as a
City Council member from August 28, 1945 through Harch 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
to add its voice to the many who have mourned the untimely
demise of !1.rs. Genevieve H. Anderson.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: This resolution is offered as tribute and
gratitude to !Irs. Genevieve H. Anderson for her dedication to
the people of the City of Vernon by her service as a member of
the City Council of th~ City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: the City Council of the City of Vernon takes
tbis opportunity to express its condolences upon the untimely
passing of Mrs. Genevieve H. Anderson.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
