A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
VALLEY GM POWER PRODUCTS, INC. AND THE CITY
OF VERNON FOR TWO GAS TURBINES AT THE VERNON
DIESEL PLANT
WHEREAS, on May 20, 1986, the City Council of the City
7 of Vernon authorized the staff and consultants to negotiate a
8 contract with Valley GM Power Products for two gas turbines to be
9 installed at the Vernon Diesel Plant; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
11 to enter into an Agreement with Valley GM Power Products
12 pursuant to the recommendation of Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City
13 Administrator/City Clerk.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

~sQIIQ~_l: That the City Council of the City of
17 Vernon hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
18 hereinabove are true and correct.

~sQIIQ~_~: That the City Council of the City of
20 Vernon hereby approves the Agreement, a copy of which has been
21 presented to the City Council concurrently with this Resolution
22 and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement to be received
23 and filed by the City Clerk.

~~~IIQ~_~: That the City Council of the City of
25 Vernon hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute
26 said Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

~sgIIQ~_!: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of October, 1986.
