A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF THE FIRST AMENDED PALO VERDE
COORDINATION AGREEMENT AMONG AZUSA, BANNING,
COLTON, RIVERSIDE AND VERNON WHICH ALLOWS
VERNON TO WITHDRAW FROM THE PALO VERDE
COORDINATION AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
7 adopted Resolution No. 5219 on October 1, 1985, which approved
8 and authorized the execution of a Palo Verde Coordination
10 Banning, Colton, Riverside and Vernon; and
9 Agreement dated July 15, 1985, among the Cities of Azusa,
11 WHEREAS, the parties to said Agreement desire to amend
12 it to provide that Vernon shall have no obligations under the
13 Agreement, and the other parties shall have no obligations to
14 Vernon under the Agreement until Vernon requests that its
15 obligations under the Agreement be reinstituted and the other
16 parties agree to such obligations being reinstituted.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
18 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

20 Vernon hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained

23 Vernon hereby approves the First Amended Palo Verde Coordination
~s~IIQ~_~: That the City Council of the City of
24 Agreement among Azusa, Banning, Colton, Riverside and Vernon, a

copy
of which has been presented to the
Council
City
26 concurrently with this Resolution and the City Council hereby
27 orders said Amendment to be received and filed by the City
28 Clerk.

~s~I!Q~_~: That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute
said Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
~sQIIQ~_!: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of October, 1986.
