A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A COLLECTION AGREEMENT, AN
AUTHORIZATION LETTER AND SPECIAL USE PERMIT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND THE U.S.
FOREST SERVICE (USFS) RESPECTING THE BEAR
BUTTE HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT, FERC NO. 8444
WHEREAS,
USFS requires the execution of a
the
Collection Agreement and the deposit of fees in advance in
relation to studies and activities being performed at the
Project site pursuant to Vernon's feasibility study for the Bear
Butte Hydroelectric Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
to enter into a Collection Agreement, an Authorization Letter
and a Special Use Permit with the USFS for the purpose of
furthering the study of the feasibility of the Bear Butte
Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 8444.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
~sQIIQ~_l: That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
~~~IIQ~_~: That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby approves the Collection Agreement, Authorization
Letter and Special Use Permit, copies of which have been
presented to the City Council concurrently with this Resolution
25 and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement, Letter and
26 Permit to be received and filed by the City Clerk.

28 Vernon hereby authorizes Robert F. Young, Project Manager at

~sQIIQ~_!: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
