A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS
PROPERTY FROM THE COMMUNITY SERVICES
DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.31 OF THE
VERNON CITY CODE
WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City
Clerk, by letter dated December 2, 1986, has recommended to the
City Council that property from the Community Services
Department, more particularly described in Exhibit II A" which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof, is surplus to the needs
of the City of Vernon: and
WHEREAS, Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, the Purchasing Agent, has
recommended that the surplus property set forth in Exhibit "A" be
disposed of pursuant to Section 2.31 of the Vernon City Code: and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
that the property set forth in Exhibit II A" be sold as surplus
pursuant to Section 2.31 of the Vernon City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That in accordance with Section 37350. of the
Government Code of the State of California, the City Council of
the City of Vernon hereby finds and determines that the property
set forth in Exhibit II A" is surplus to the needs of the City of
Vernon.
SECTION 2 :
That the City Administrator/City Clerk is
hereby authorized to obtain bids pursuant to Section 2.31 of the

Vernon City Code for the sale of the property set forth in Ex-
hibit "An as surplus property.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of December, 1986.
