A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF R.F. DICKSON
COMPANY INC. FOR STREET SWEEPING 1987-1989
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 478 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION
OF SAID CONTRACT

WHEREAS, Contract No. 478 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council o~ the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution No. 5343, and sealed bids were opened on December 2,
1986; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Victor H. Vaits,
Director of Community Services, who has reported to the City
Council under the date of December 2, 1986, recommending that
the contract for Street Sweeping 1987-1989 be executed with R.F.
Dickson Company Inc. on the basis of its bid in the sum of
Thirty-Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars and No Cents
($38,700.00) per year, being the lowest responsible bid meeting
the contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award Contract No. 478,
in accordance with the
recommendation of Victor H.
Vaits, Director of Community

.23 Services, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract on

behalf of the City.

All other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
the receipt of an executed contract from R.F. Dickson Company

2 Inc., accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
