A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF STREET SWEEPING
1984-1986, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 461
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, R.F. DICKSON COMPANY, INC. was awarded the con-
tract for work of Street Sweeping 1984-1986, pursuant to Contract
No. 461 of the City of Vernon: and
WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon
that said work has been completed, under date of January 8, 1987,
and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to
the contractor in accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work of Street SWeeping 1984-1986,
pursuant to Contract No. 461 is hereby approved by the City of
Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That the total contract amount is One
19 Hundred Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Twelve Dollars and No Cents
20. ($114,612.00). That there is now due to the contractor a final

payment totaling Three Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-One and No
Cents ($3,371.00), which is payable thirty-five (35) days after
the adoption of this resolution, and the City Council of the City
of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to
R.F. DICKSON COMPANY, INC. and instructs the City Clerk to file a
Notice of Completion with the County .Recorder.
SECTION 3:
That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon

shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and ~ffect.
