A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF PACIFIC STRIPING,
INC. FOR TRAFFIC PAVEMENT STRIPING - 1987, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 480 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 480 of the City of Vernon was ap-
proved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
Resolution No. 5369, and sealed bids were opened on February 17,
19877 and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Victor H. Vaits,
Director of Community Services, who has reported to the City
Council under the date of February 18, 1987, recommending that
the contract for Traffic Pavement Striping - 1987 be executed
with Pacific Striping, Inc. on the basis of its bid in the sum of
Twenty-Three Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars and Forty-
Two Cents ($23,279.42), being the lowest responsible bid meeting
the contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award Contract No. 480 in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community Services, and
authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract on behalf of the
City.
SECTION 2 :
All other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccess ful bidders
any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon the

receipt of an executed contract from Paving Striping, Inc., ac-
companied by all required bonds and certificates.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
