A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 482 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION,
BANDINI BOULEVARD AND SUNOL DRIVE, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 482 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Vernon Contract No. 482 for Traffic Signal Installa-
tion, Bandini Boulevard and Sunol Drive, in accordance with Con-
tract No. 482 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
determined that it is in the best interests of the City of'Vernon
that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable State
law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Contract No. 482 is hereby approved by the
City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 482.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
proposals or bids for Traffic Signal Installation, Bandini
Boulevard and Sunol Drive, in accordance with Contract No. 482
and in accordance with this resolution.
SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
tion printed, published or circulated in ,the City of Vernon, the

City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or cause the
same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the City
of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa
Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific
Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City
Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in
said City.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first post-
ing of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days before
the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said notice
shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by
the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk of the City,
at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, CA 90058-0805,
until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 21st day of April, 1987 and in
accordance with Contract No. 482 approved by said City.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
