RESOLUTION NO. 54""
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF SUNOL DRIVE
AND AYERS AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION AND BANDINI
BLVD. MEDIAN, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 473 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, EXCEL PAVING COMPANY was awarded the contract
for work on Sunol Drive and Ayers Avenue Reconstruction and Ban-
dini Blvd. Median, pursuant to Contract No. 473 of the City of

WHEREAS, Victor H. Vai ts , Director of Community Serv-
ices, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on
June 9, 1987, that said work has been completed and recommends

that the work be accepted and payment be made to the Contractor
in accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That the work of Sunol Drive and Ayers
Avenue Reconstruction and Bandini Blvd. Median, pursuant to Con-
tract No. 473 is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That the total contract amount is Six
Hundred Nine Thousand Six Hundred Twenty Dollars and Seventy-Two
Cents ($609,620.72).
That there is now due to the Contractor a
final partial payment totaling One Thousand One Hundred Eighty-
Three Dollars and Fifty-Five Cents ($1,183.55), which should be
paid at this time, and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the to-
tal contract amount, or the sum of Sixty Thousand Nine Hundred
Sixty-Two Dollars and Seven Cents ($60,962.07) is payable thirty-
five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution and the City

Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums
as set forth to EXCEL PAVING COMPANY and instructs the City Clerk
to file a notice of completion with the County Recorder.
SECTION 3:
That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of June, 1987.
