RESOLUTION NO. 5412
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF CIVIC CENTER
INTERIOR REMODELING, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 481 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, STACY CONSTRUCTION INC. was awarded the con-
tract for work on Civic Center Interior Remodeling, pursuant to
Contract No. 481 of the City of Vernon: and
WHEREAS, Victor H. Vai ts, Director of Community Serv-
ices, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on
July 13, 1987, that said work has been completed and recommends
that the work be accepted and payment be made to the Contractor
in accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That the work of Civic Center Interior
Remodeling, pursuant to Contract No. 481, is hereby approved by
the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2 :
That the total contract amount including
Change Orders 1 and 2 is One Hundred and Two Thousand and Twenty-
Two Dollars and Seventy-Eight Cents ($102,022.78). That there is
now due to the Contractor a final partial payment totaling
Ninety....One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Dollars and Fifty
Cents ($91,820.50), which should be paid at this time, and the
remaining ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount, or the
sum of Ten Thousand Two Hundred Two Dollars and Twenty-Eight
Cents ($10,202,28), is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
adoption of this resolution and the City Council of the City of

Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to STACY
CONSTRUCTION INC. and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice
of completion with the County Recorder.
That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
SECTION 3:
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
