A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COMMENDING EDWARD A. COONEY FOR HIS
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, EDWARD A. COONEY has been employed by the City
5 .of Vernon since March 21, 1983: anCl
6
WHEREAS, said EDWARD A. COONEY retired from the service
7 of the City of Vernon on July 8, 1987: and
8
WHEREAS, EDWARDA. COONEY has faithfully served as the
9 .Assistqnt Director of Finance for approximately 4 years and as
10
the Risk Manager since approximately June3~, 1986, and his loss
11
will be. deeply felt by the' City of Vernon.

NOW ,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
13 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
15
takes this opportunity to commend EDWARD A. COONEY for his years
16
of devoted service to the City of Vernon.
17
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon

wishes EDWARD A. COONEY continued success in whatever endeavors

SECTION 3:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
he may undertake.
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and present a
certified copy thereof to EDWARD A. COONEY and that thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
