RESOLUTION NO. 5415
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF DISTRICT BOULEVARD
RESURFACING, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 479,
OF THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, BLAIR PAVING,INC. was awarded the contract
for work on District Boulevard Resurfacing, pursuant to Contract
< 7 No. 479 of the City of Vernon; and
8 WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
9 Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of
10 Vernon on July 29, 1987, that said work has been completed
11 and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made
12 to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
14 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work of District Boulevard
16 Resurfacing, pursuant to Contract No. 479, is hereby approved
17 by the City of Vernon.

SECTION '2: That the total contract amount including
19 Change Order 1 is Two Hundred and Thirty .,Thousand and Two
20 Hundred and Fifty Two Dollars and Eighty-six Cents ($230,252.86).
21 That there is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment
22 totaling Two Hundred and Seven Thousand and Two Hundred and
23 Twenty-Seven-Dollars and .Fifty-Seven Cents ($207,227.57),
24 which should be paid at this time, and the remaining ten
25 percent (10%) of the total contract amount, or the sum of
26 Twenty-Three Thousand and Twenty-Five Dollars and Twenty-Nine
27 Cents ($23,025.29), is payable thirty-five (35) days after
28 the adoption of this resolution and the City Council of the
1 City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set
2 forth to BLAIR PAVING INC. and instructs the City Clerk to
3 file a notice of completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of
5 Vernon shall certify to the pass,age of this resolution and
6 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
< 7 and effect.
8 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of August, 1987.

of Vernon, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution,
being Resolution No. 5415, was duly adopted by the City Council
of the City of Vernon, and was approved by the Mayor of said
City at a regular meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday,
August 4, 1987.
