RESOLUTION NO. 5422
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF MACADEE
ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NC>. 477 OF THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, MACADEE ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION, was
6 awarded the contract for work on Traffic Signal Modernization,
7 Santa Fe Avenue and 37th-38th Street, Santa Fe Avenue and
8 Pacific Boulevard, Jewel Avenue and 37th Street, Boyle-State
9 Street and Randolph Street, pursuant to Contract No. 477 of
10 the City of Vernon; and
11 WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
12 Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of
13 Vernon on August 19, 1987, that said work has been completed
14 andrecornmends that the work be accepted and payment be
15 made to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
16 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
17 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work of MACADEE ELECTRICAL
19 CONSTRUCTION, pursuant to Contract No. 477 is hereby approved
20 by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is
22 Fifty-Eieht Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($58,100.00), and
23 the sum of Fifty-One Thousand Seven Hundred Eight Dollars
24 and Eighty~wo Cents ($51,708.82) has previously been paid.
25 That there is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment
26 totaling Five Hundred Eighty-One Dollars and Eighteen Cents
27 ($581.18), which should be paid at this time, and tl\e rema,ining
28 ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount, or the sum of

1 Five Thousand Eight Hundred Ten Dollars and no Cents
2 ~5,8l0.00) is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
3 adoption of this resolution and the City Council of the City
4 of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth
5 to MACADEE ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION and instructs the City
6 Clerk to file a notice of completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of
8 Vernon shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
9 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
10 effect.
11 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of September, 1987.
