A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 483 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR HIGH PRESSURE GAS MAIN 50TH STREET -
DIESEL PLANT TO DOWNEY ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 483 OF THE CITY OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
7 the City of Vernon Contract No. 483 for High Pressure Gas Main 50th
8 Street - Diesel plant To Downey Road, in accordance with Contract
9 483 of the City of Vernon; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
11 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
12 that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable State.
13 law.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Contract No. 483 is hereby approved by the
17 City Council of the City of Vernon,
18
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
19 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
20 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 483.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
22
hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
23
proposals or bids for High Pressure Gas Main 50th street - Diesel
24
Plant To Downey Road, in accordance with Contract No. 483 and in
25
26
accordance with this resolution.
SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
27
tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
28
City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or cause the

1 same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the City
2 of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th street and Santa
3 Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific
4 Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City
5 Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 43~5 Santa Fe Avenue, in
6 said City.

<SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
8 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first post-
9 ing of said notice shall not be less than ten (l~) days before
10 the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said notice
11 shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by
12 the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk of the City,
13 at the City Hall, 43.0'5 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, CA 9.0'.0'58-~8.0'5,
14 until the hour of 2:.0'.0' p.m. on the 22nd day of September, 1987,
15 and in accordance with Contract No. 483 approved by said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
17 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
18 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
19 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of September, 1987.
