RESOLUTION NO. 5429
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF STEINY & CO. INC.,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 482 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON.
WHEREAS, STEINY & CO., INC. was awarded the contract
for work on Traffic Signal Installation, Bandini Boulevard and
Sunol Drive, pursuant to Contract No. 482 of the City of Vernon;
and
WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of
Vernon on September 15, 1987, that said work has been completed
and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made
to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work of Traffic Signal Instci.lation,
Bandini Boulevard and sunol Drive, pursuant to Contract No. 482
is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is ~ifty~
nine Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($59,800.00). That there
is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment totaling
Fifty-three Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Dollars ($53,820.00),
which should be paid at this time, and the remaining ten
percent (to%) of the total contract amount, or the sum of
Five Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty Dollars ($5,980.00) is
payable thirty-five (l~) days after the adoption of this
resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
directs payment of said sums as set forth to STEIN~ & CO.,INe.

and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice of completion
with the County Recorder.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of
Vernon shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of September, 1987.
