A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF MACCO
CONSTRUCTORS, INC., 8" WATER MAIN IN ALLEY E/O
SANTA FE AVENUE, (BETWEEN 52ND STREET AND 57TH
STREET) IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 475 OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION
OF SAID CONTRACT

WHEREAS, Contract No. 475 of the City of Vernon was ap
proved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to

Resolution No. 5431, and sealed bids were opened on September
22, 1987; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Lewis R. Adams,
Director of Water & Power, who has reported to the City Council
under the date of October 13, 1987, recommending that the
contract for 8" Main In Alley E/o Santa Fe Avenue, (Between
52nd Street & 57th Street) be executed with Macco Constructors,
Inc. on the basis of its bid in the sum of One Hundred Fourteen
Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Five Dollars and no cents
($114,575.00), being the lowest responsible bid meeting the
contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernpn doe
hereby award Contract No. 475 in accordance with the recommenda-
tionof Lewis R. Adams, Director of liater & Power, and authorizes
the Mayor to execute said Contract on behalf of the City.
SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon the

receipt of an executed contract from Macco Constructors, Inc.
accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 13th day of October, 1987.
