RESOLUTION NO. 5435
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A CONSULTING AGREEMENT FOR
SERVICES BY AND BETW.EEN THE CITY OF VERNON
AND EDWARD E. DUMON
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon needs certain contractual
services in connection with electric operations and its intent to
develop operational procedures and policies to operate its Water
and Power Department at the expiration of the Operating Agreement
between the City of Vernon and ESI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Southern California Edison Company: and
WHEREAS, Edward E.. Dumon has extensive experience and
lcnowledge in electric operations and combined water and power
Operations and is offering to perform such services for the City
of Vernon to assist .:the City in developing policy and procedures
for the operation of the electric utility and the combined Opera-
tion of the Water and Power Department: and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to enter into an
Agreement for Contractual Services with Edward E. Dumon to per-
form services for the City of Vernon in connection with the
City's Water and Power Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby approves the Agreement For Contractual Services, a copy of

which has been presented to the City Council concurrently with
this resolution and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement
to be received and filed by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: That the City Council of the C:t.tyof Vernon
hereby authori~es the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of October, 1987.
