RESOLUTION NO. 5436
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE.. CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING EXHIBIT "A", SCHEDULE II,
PAGE 10 OF RESOLUTION NO. 5405 WHICH FIXED
THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF
SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE
ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5405 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1987, to be effective
on July 1, 1987: and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5405 was previously." amended by
Resolution No. 5425 which was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Vernon on September 8, 1987: and
WHEREAS, Exhibit "A", Schedule II, page 10 of Resolution
No. 5405 provides for positions and salary scale of personnel in
the Vernon Fire Department: and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
to establish the position of Secretary in the Vernon Fire Depart-
ment at a salary scale commiserate with secretarial positions in
the other departments within the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the. City .of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the reci tale contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2:
That Exhibit "A", Schedule II, page 10 of
Resolution No. 5405, is hereby amended to establish the position
of Secretary in the Vernon Fire Department at the same salary
scale as other secretarial positions in the .other departments

within the City, effective October 26, 1987, and the Page 10
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference as though fully set forth at length is substituted for
the previous Page 10 of Schedule II, Exhibit "An of Resolution
No. 5405.
SECTION 3: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
5405, as amended by Resolution No. 5425, shall remain in full
force and effect and the provisions in Resolution Nos. 5405 and
5425 not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and ef-
feet.
