A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS
PROPERTY FROM THE HEALTH & ENVIRONMENTAL
CONTROL SECTION OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR/CITY
CLERK'S DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.31
OF THE VERNON CITY CODE
WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrat.or/City
by letter dated November 5, 1987, recommended to the
Finance Committee that the below listed equipment is surplus to

the needs of the Health & Environmental Control Section of the

City Administrator/City Clerk's Department:

4 reels of 16 mm films on first aid (1950 vintage)
1 old slide projector (unknown year)
dictaphoner and
WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, the Purchasing Agent, has
recommended that the said surplus property be disposed of pur-

16 suant to Section 2.31 of the Vernon City Coder and
17
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
18 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
19 that the above listed equipment, be sold as surplus pursuant to
20 Section 2.31 of the Vernon City Code.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That in accordance with Section 37350 of the
Government Code of the State of California, the City Council of
25 the City of Vernon hereby finds and determines that the above
26 listed equipment is surplus to the needs of the Health and En-
27 vironmental Control Section of the City Administrator/City

SECTION 2:
That the City Administrator/City Clerk i
3 hereby authorized to obtain bids pursuant to Section 2.31 of th
4 Vernon City Code for the sale of the above listed equipment as
5 surplus property.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
7 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon a.n
8 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
9 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of November 1987.
