A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF THE TWENTY-SEVENTH ADDENDUM TO
THE WESTERN SYSTEMS COORDINATING COUNCIL
AGREEMENT PROVIDING FOR MEMBERSHIP IN<SAID
COORDINATING COUNCIL
WHEREAS, forty electric systems in the Wesee,rn part of
the United States have entered into an Agreement, dated the 4th
day of August 1967, which as amended provides, among other
things, that membership in the said Coordinating. qaunqil is
voluntary and is open to all electric utilities and electric
utility organizations composed of a group of electric utilities
within the area set forth in the preamble1 and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon is an electric utility and,
therefore, entitled to membership in the said Coordinating
Council: and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to execute an.adden-
dum to the Western Systems Coordinating Council to become a mem-
ber in said Coord~nating Council, to be bound by all of the
/terms ,
conditions. and provisions of the Western Systems Coor-
dinating Council Agreement, and
to be entitled to all of the
benefits thereunder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE. IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON.. J\SFOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that
the
recitals
contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the city of Vernon

hereby approves the Addendum, a copy of which has been presented
to the City Council concurrently with this resolution, and the
City Council hereby orders said Addendum to be received and filed
by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
Addendum for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
