RESOLUTION HO. 5444
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SECTION 12, SUBSECTION
(e), OF RESOLUTION NO. 5405 WHICH FIXED
THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF
SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE
ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5405 was adopted by the City
7 Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1987, to be effective
8 on July 1, 1987r and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5405 was previously amended by
10 Resolution No. 5425, which was adopted by the City Council of the
11 City of Vernon on September 8, 1987, by Resolution No. 5436,
12 which was adopted by the City Council of the City of Vernon on
13 October 20, 1987, and Resolution No. 5439, which was adopted by
14 the City Council of the City of Vernon on November 3, 1987r and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
16 to correct Section 12 (e) of Resolution No. 5405 to insert infor-
17 mation inadvertently omitted from said subsection.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
19 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the" City Council of the City of Vernon
21 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
22 hereinabove are true and correct.
23 SECTION 2: That Section 12, Subsection (e), of Resolu-
24 tion No. 5405 shall be amended to read as follows :
25 (e) That those employees participating in said four (4)
26 day work week shall not receive the benefit of holidays falling
27

on Fridays or Saturdays, unless otherwise approved by the City

Council, but shall receive the benefit of holidays falling on
Sunday by celebrating said holidays on the following Monday.
SECTION 3:
That in all other respects, Resolution No.
5405, as amended by Resolution NOS. 5425,
5436 and 5439, shall
remain in full force and effect and the provisions in Resolution
Nos. 5405, 5425, 5436 and 5439 not consistent with or in conflict
with this resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and ef-
fect.
