RESOLUTION NO. 5452
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF JOHN R. HUNDLEY,INC.,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 476 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON
WHEREAS, JOHN R. HUNDLEY," INC., was awarded the
contract for work on Civic Center Additions and Remodel,
pursuant to Contract No. 476 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of
Vernon on December 2, 1987, that said work has been completed
and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be
made to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work of JOHN R. HUNDLEY, INC.,
pursuant to Contract No. 476 is hereby approved by the City
17 of Vernon.
18 SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is
19 Four Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Thirty-Two
20 Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents ($485,732.95), and the sum
21 of Three Hundred EightY-Six Thousand, Eighteen Dollars and
22 Ten Cents ($386,018.10) has previously been paid. That
23 there is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment
24 totaling Fifty-One Thousand, One Hundred Forty-One Dollars
25 and Fifty-Five Cents ($51,141.55), which should be paid
26 at this time, and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the
27 total contract amount, or the sum of Forty-Eight Thousand,
28 Five Hundred Seventy-Three Dollars and Thirty Cents ($48~573.30)

'is-~payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this
resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
directs payment of said sums as set forth to JOHN R. HUNDLEY, INC.,
and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice of completion
with the County Recorder.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of
Vernon shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of December, 1987.
