A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A LETTER AGREEMENT WITH THE
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY AMENDING
THE EXISTING FIRM TRANSMISSION SERVICE
AGREEMENT FOR THE TRANSMISSION OF CAPACITY
AND ENERGY PURCHASED FROM THE CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and Southernca~".i;ornia
8 Edison Company ("SCE") entered into a Firm Transmission Service
9 Agreement on December 11, 1986, which permits Vernon to receive
10 firm power from the California Department of Water ResourceS1~nd
11
WHEREAS, Vernon and SCE have agreed to a. Letter Agree-
12 ment amending said transmission service agreementr and
13
WHEREAS, the proposed Letter Agreement submitted cq~cur-
14 rently with this resolution reflects the understanding reached
15 between the parties.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL .....OF'
17 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the,Citypf VernQn
19 hereby finds and determines that the reci ta.lscon1;'ained
20 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the, < City of Vernon

22 hereby approves the Letter Agreement, a cOPY, of which,hasb,en
23 presented to the City Council concurrently,' with thli$i".esolution
24 and the City Council hereby orders said Letter Agree.ent to be
25 received and filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of th!i!City.ofVernon
27 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said

Letter Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
