A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPER-
VISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO RENDER
SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY RELATING TO THE
CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
ON TUESDAY, APRIL 12, 1988
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in
of Vernon, California, on April 12, 1988: and
WHEREAS, in the course of co~duct of the election it is
9 necessary for the City to request services of the Countyr and
10 WHEREAS, all necessary expenses in performing these serv-
11 ices shall be paid by the City of Vernon.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
13 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
That pursuant to the provisions of Section
15 22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this City
16 Council requests the Board of Supervisors of the County to permit
17 the County Election Department to prepare and furnish to the City
18 for use in conducting the election the computer record of the
19 names and addresses of all eligible registered voters in the City
20 in order that the City may print labels to be attached to self-
21 mailer sample ballot pamphletsr and will also furnish to the City
22 printed indices of the voters to be used by the precinct board at
23 the polling place: and will make available to the City additional
24 election equipment and assistance according to state law.
25 SECTION 2: That the City shall reimburse the County for
26 services performed when the work is complete and upon presentation
27 to the City of a property approved bill.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk is directed to forward

without delay to the Board of Supervisors and to the County Elec-

tion Department each a certified copy of this resolution.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of January, 1988.
