RESOLUTION NO. 5457
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VE~ON ACCEPTING THE BID OF RAYMOR ELECTRIC
COMPANY INC. FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODERNIZATION
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 484 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF
SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 484 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant
to Resolution No. 5446, and sealed bids were opened on
December 15, 1987; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Victor H. Vaits,
Director of Community Services, who has reported to the City
Council under the date of December 22, 1987, recommending
that the contract for Traffic Signal Modernization be executed
with RAYMOR ,ELECTRtCCOMPANY INC.} on the basis of their bid
in the sum of Fifty-Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Seven
Dollars ($59,977.00), being the lowest possible bid meeting
the contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:: The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award Contract No. 484 in accordance with the
reconm\endation of Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community Services,
and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract on behalf
of the City .
SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the
City Treasurer is,:': hereby directed to return to unsuccessful
bidders any cashier or certified checks deposited with said
bids upon the receipt of an executed contract :from RAYMOE.'3

1 ELECTRIC COMPANY INC., accompanied by all required bonds and
2 certificates.
3 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
4 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
5 . and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of January, 1988.
