RESOLUTION NO. 5459
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A CALIFORNIA-OREGON TRANSMISSION
PROJECT AGREEMENT AMONG THE CITIES OF ANAHEIM,
AZUSA, BANNING, COLTON, RIVERSIDE, AND VERNON
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
desires to enter into the California-Oregon Transmission Project
8 Agreement among the Cities of Anaheim, Azusa, Banning, Colton,
9 Riverside and Vernon, which was effective as of March 19, 1986,
10 which said agreement is intended to implement the agreement
11
among the cities to allocate their respective rights and obliga-
12 tions under the Memorandum of Understanding.
13
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
15
SECTION l: That the City Council of the City of Ver-
16 non hereby finds and determines that the recital contained
17
18
hereinabove is true and correct.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19
hereby
20

approves
the Agreement,
a copy of which has been
presented to the City Council concurrently with this resolution,
and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement to be received
and flIed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City ofVer-
24
non hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute
25
said Agreement for, and on behalf, of the City of Vernon.
26
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
27
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
