A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COMMENDING GEORGE F. BASS FOR HIS
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
4 WH:EREAS, GEORGE F. BASS has been employed by the City of
5 Vernon since July 8, 1953: and
6
WHEREAS, said GEORGE F. BASS will retire from the serv-
7 ice of the City,ofVernonon January 30, 1988: and
8
WHEREAS, GEORGE F. BASS is the Fire Chief and has served
9 as such since September 5, 1978, and has faithfully served the
10 City of Vernon for approximately 35 years, and his loss will be
11 deeply felt by the City of Vernon.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
13 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: 'nbat,the City Council of the City of Vernon
15 takes this oppOrtunity to commend GEORGE F. BASS for his years of
16 devoted service to the City of Vernon.
17 SECTION 2: 'rheCi ty Council of the City of Vernon
18 wishes GEORGE F. BASS eontinu.ed success in whatever endeavors he
19 may undertake.

SECTION 3:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
21 shall certify tOe the passage of this resolution and present a

certified copy thereof to GEORGE F. BASS and that thereupon and

thereaft.er the same shall be in full force and effect.
